Gizzim Photography and Art Center in Nairobi and Turkana Counties empowers refugees from South Sudan and DRC as well as Kenyan girls and youth with: photography, artistic and business skills to make them self reliant and economically competitive in the creative industry.
To introduce youth to photography, film and business studies. Through this, they will bring remarkable change that will go a long way in defining the place and position of photography, film and business in the global front.
That the youths will rise up, embrace their passions and live their lives to the fullest contributing to global prosperity and the well-being of human kind as we continue our efforts to bring the world closer to achieving the desired milestones.
The youths have the potential to bring solutions to problems affecting them and the society. By the use of the camera, they can disseminate information about humanity and nature, record the visible world and extend human knowledge and understanding. Photography has aptly been called the most important invention since the printing press.
